FAQs

What is your ceramic kitchenware made from? All our ceramics are made from a hardwearing stoneware clay making it durable, chip resistant and stronger than earthenware and porcelain. Stoneware has a very good thermal shock resistance making it ideal for cookware.

How is your ceramic kitchenware made? All our ceramics are moulded from stoneware clay, biscuit fired to 900°C then dip glazed and fired to 1250°C.

Why do the colours vary? Ceramic colours vary from each manufactured run, as well as within the same manufactured run. Trying to match an existing ceramic product with another can be almost impossible as the natural raw material used to make ceramics changes as the location of the material source in the quarry changes, and natural clays and silicas react differently to the manufacture and firing process.

How should I care for my ceramic kitchenware?

Wash before using for the first time.

Avoid using abrasive and metallic cleaners.

Always use oven gloves when handling hot ceramics.

Place hot ceramics on heat protected surfaces.

Avoid using ceramics on a direct flame
